The skills of digital marketing have never been more in demand. The AMA recognizes the need to help our members boost their digital marketing knowledge and ensure they are trained by industry experts who understand current and future digital marketing trends so they can tackle the many challenges that businesses face. The AMA New York Capital Region chapter is delighted to announce the launch of its 'PCM Digital Marketing Bootcamp', which prepares students to take the PCM in Digital Marketing exam and the first sessions begin in October.

Launching the PCM in Digital Marketing

To help our members develop today’s digital skills, the AMA is proud to launch a new certification: The Professional Certified Marketer® in Digital Marketing.

The certification is designed to be flexible and allow the student to study at their own pace, but rigorous enough to ensure you have the skills and competencies to give you an advantage in advancing your career in digital marketing.

Who is it for?

The PCM® Digital Marketing Certification is designed for marketers looking to update to the latest digital skills and knowledge. Digital content managers who need to keep abreast of current thinking in content marketing. Or, CMOs who need to be at the forefront of digital strategy and entrepreneurs who want to be prepared for the many opportunities that digital marketing offers.

How do I Gain the Certification?

The AMA has partnered with LinkedIn Learning to offer an online preparation course that will help you to be ready to take the exam. From October, the AMA New York Capital Region Chapter begins a series of 8 sessions as part of the 'PCM Digital Marketing Bootcamp', which will include all of the topics that are covered in the exam, from social media to email marketing, and more besides.

The Digital Marketing Bootcamp for the PCM in Digital Marketing begins on Tuesday, October 24th, from 6 - 8PM, at the Chamber of Southern Saratoga County in Clifton Park. There will be a total of 8 sessions, through to, Tuesday, December 12. The cost of the 8-week course is $300 for a Chamber or AMA member and $350 for a non-member. Please note that the PCM exam fee is not included in the cost. To pass you will need to get 80% or higher, but if you fail you will get two further attempts to take the exam.

Becoming a PCM® Digital Marketing

On passing the exam, you can use the letters PCM after your name, which will show the world that you have attained a high standard in terms of the skills and knowledge necessary for a modern digital marketing professional. And, you will also be able to highlight your credentials with a certificate and a digital badge to display on your LinkedIn profile and to share on social media.

The AMA Mark of Distinction

The fact that the AMA backs the new certification gives you the assurance that it is both recognized and respected as setting an industry standard for the acquisition of relevant skills that equip you for a challenging role in digital marketing. The certification was developed by digital marketing experts and it is guaranteed to give you a powerful edge in the marketplace.
