Description

Big data breaches are in the news daily. Whether it is big brands like Yahoo, Marriott, or eBay, or even your local supplier, cybersecurity has become a hot topic and a major risk factor, whatever business you are in.

But how do you protect yourself from the growing misinformation on the internet? How does your business make its decisions and differentiate the fake data the internet is presenting to you? Businesses are falling victim to hackers, hacktivists, and nation states.

Intellectual property, data and bank accounts have never been at greater risk – it’s not if, but when, your organization will be victimized. It’s also not just about protecting yourself on the internet anymore. It’s about collecting as much information as possible from what you think is not fake data. And while security clichés continue to be overplayed, we see organizations learning the hard way every single day.

We know the odds are stacked against us, but we still play the game. Offense is easier than defense, and we can’t win. So, it’s time to redefine losing. We can do this. Join Ben Jordan of GreyCastle Security as we explore the lopsided, unending tournament we call cybersecurity and strategies to win on defense.

Who is Ben Jordan?

Ben Jordan is a senior security specialist with GreyCastle Security. Prior to joining GreyCastle, Ben was involved with information security for a market leading financial institution. During his time with Greycastle, Ben has been involved in cybersecurity training and awareness, incident response, risk assessment, vendor risk management, and data risk management. Ben is a graduate of the prestigious Utica College Cybersecurity Masters’ program and received his undergraduate degree from LeMoyne College.

GreyCastle Security was founded almost a decade ago on the principle that cybersecurity and effective defense is entirely possible if you use common sense, apply a system of measurement and know what you’re trying to protect.
