The event is hosted by the American Marketing Association New York Capital Region chapter at the offices of the Greater Capital Association of Realtors (GCAR). This expert panel of realtors, and real estate professionals will discuss the changing role of the realtor in the age of digital technology. For a long time, the realtor’s maxim has always been, ‘location, location, location!’ But the advent of digital technologies and social media have transformed many industries and not least the dynamic and ever-changing business of real estate. In recent years, Realtors have had to embrace these new technologies, from online listing platforms, such as Zillow and Trulia, to the use of social media as a way to engage buyers and sellers, and also virtual reality tours. In the future, augmented reality (AR), drones, and other technologies will present new and exciting challenges to the realtor.
